• Functions

1.Heat Absorption: Hot coolant (a mixture of water and ethylene glycol) flows from the engine’s water jacket into the radiator’s top tank, carrying heat generated by combustion and friction.

2.Heat Dissipation: The hot coolant is distributed through a network of narrow aluminum tubes. As the equipment’s engine-driven fan blows ambient air over the tubes and louvered fins, heat transfers from the coolant to the air—cooling the coolant by 20–30°C before it exits the radiator.

3.Coolant Recirculation: The cooled coolant collects in the radiator’s bottom tank, then is pumped back into the engine by the water pump to repeat the cycle.

4.Pressure Regulation: A built-in pressure cap on the top tank maintains the radiator’s operating pressure. This raises the coolant’s boiling point (e.g., 121°C / 250°F at 150 kPa), preventing overheating even in high-temperature environments (e.g., desert job sites).
