Functions

(1) Reduce Friction & Prevent Metal Direct Contact

It acts as a sliding bearing between the rotating drive shaft and fixed pump housing. It avoids direct steel-on-steel abrasion during high-speed rotation, greatly lowering frictional resistance when the pump runs continuously. The inner surface retains hydraulic oil to form a stable lubricating oil film for smooth rotation.

(2) Radial Support & Centering for Pump Shaft

This bushing bears heavy radial loads from the pump’s swash plate and piston assembly. It keeps the drive shaft centered precisely, eliminating shaft shaking, eccentric rotation and vibration during high-pressure working cycles. Stable centering protects other internal pump parts like pistons, valve plates and swash plates from abnormal impact damage.

(3) Buffer Impact & Absorb Vibration

The alloy steel structure absorbs mechanical vibration and instantaneous impact loads generated by hydraulic pressure surges. It prevents vibration transmission to the whole pump housing, extending the service life of the entire hydraulic pump assembly.

(4) Maintain Internal Hydraulic Sealing Clearance

It controls the tiny uniform clearance between the shaft and housing. If this bushing wears out, the clearance will expand excessively, leading to serious internal oil leakage inside the main pump, which causes machine power loss, slow boom movement and weak digging force.
